Would you like to start your work day after a very short commute? I know that for me, it added an extra 2 hours to may day. It also allowed me to be closer to kids and elders who needed my support and care in case of an emergency. It was wonderful when I started working from home, and I know many others would like to do it.

Nowadays, required equipment like a PC and telephone, are common and fairly inexpensive. That is all that many home office jobs require. Of course, some positions may require skills and the ability to self start the day without punching a time clock or having a boss shouting. That is always a big plus for me!

But it can be hard to find real opportunities with a set pay rate. When we search on the internet all we find our slick ads that promise riches. But we know that these are not really job listings, but are simply trying to sell us something else. So is it possible to find a real job, with pay and maybe even benefits, that can be done inside our house?

Yes, it is. Many companies are hiring home workers! Common jobs are customer service and administrative help. Other skilled jobs like web design, programming, writing, and editing are also out there if we can find them.

Where do we find these jobs? You can try a search on a major search engine like Google, Yahoo, or Bing. You can also look at the big job websites. But again, you have to be wary because many listings will not be job posts at all. They will be deceptive ads to try and sell you some information.

But you can learn what you need to find, and what you need to avoid. If a post looks too good to be true, be very careful. A glossy ad with a picture of hot babes, fast cars, and people lounging on the beach is not the way a real employer would promote their jobs.

Some paid work at home job services exist that can save you time and frustration. Check these out, and also look for reviews so you can see what others say. If previous clients found jobs, that may be a good sign. If previous customers were unhappy, you should pay attention.
